Top 6 Mirage callouts every CS2 player should know
Mirage is a fast-paced map that’s been a staple in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (now CS2) for years. Whether you’re pushing the A site, defending B, or controlling mid, knowing the important call outs can make all the difference in your team’s success. In this blog, we will be going over the top 6 callouts you should master if you want to dominate on Mirage.
1. Tetris
Callout: Tetris
Located just outside of the A bombsite, Tetris is where the Terrorist side (T-side) will typically push from when executing onto A. The name comes from the shape of the boxes stacked near T ramp that players use for cover.
Why It’s Important:
Tetris provides key cover when pushing A and is often contested by Counter-Terrorists trying to hold A or retake it.
2. Connector
Callout: Connector
Connector is the critical choke point between the middle of the map and the A bombsite. It connects the Mid area to the A site and is an important part of both Terrorist and Counter-Terrorist rotations.
Why It’s Important:
T-side players push through Connector to gain control of A, and CTs will often rotate through it to support their team or retake the site. Mastering Connector control is essential for gaining mid and executing strategies.
3. Jungle
Callout: Jungle
Located near the A bombsite, Jungle is an enclosed area on the CT-side of A site that connects Connector to Stairs. It's a very common position for CTs to hold while defending A, or for T-side players to use when attacking A from a different angle.
Why It’s Important:
Jungle is one of the key angles that players must clear when pushing A. It's also an important rotation path for CTs when defending A or retaking the site.
4. Ramp
Callout: Ramp
This is the sloped area leading from the Terrorist spawn toward the A bombsite. It’s a common entry point for Terrorists looking to push A.
Why It’s Important:
T-Ramp is the most direct route to A and usually where Terrorists begin their attack. Holding Ramp as a CT is crucial to delaying or preventing the A push. It’s essential to communicate when you’re pushing up or defending it.
5. Ticket Booth
Callout: Ticket
Ticket refers to the small booth area near the A site, just behind Tetris and near the Jungle area. It provides cover for players pushing onto the A site, as well as a great position for a Counter-Terrorist to defend or hold an angle.
Why It’s Important:
T-side players need to clear Ticket before entering A, as it’s a common spot for a CT to hold. CTs can use Ticket to get great sight-lines to stop the A push or retake from the site.
6. Palace
Callout: Palace
Palace is the enclosed area leading from the T-side to the A site. It’s a great place for Terrorists to execute an A push by taking advantage of the element of surprise.
Why It’s Important:
When attacking A, pushing from Palace can be a sneaky and powerful strategy. It's also an essential spot for Counter-Terrorists to watch, as it’s a high-traffic area for Terrorists trying to infiltrate the A site.
